Overview
The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
This is a full-time position working M-F between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our Plymouth Orthopedic Surgery Center location.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is part of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, committed to giving patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
- Manage purchase orders, receiving, and replenishment of supplies for the surgery center
- Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues
- Coordinate inventory management activities at the surgery center
- Assist with value analysis and product trials
- Manage SharePoint processes for equipment and instruments in conjunction with the OR Manager
- Oversee physical inventory processes at the sites
- Manage par areas within the surgery center and maintain inventory system accuracy
- Maintain accurate information within inventory and clinical systems
- Physical requirements: lift objects >25 lbs and <60 lbs; push/pull >50 lbs on a cart
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Associate degree preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain

- Lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly; occasional up to 50 lbs
