Overview

The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This is a full-time position working M-F between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our Plymouth Orthopedic Surgery Center location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is part of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, committed to giving patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
  • Manage purchase orders, receiving, and replenishment of supplies for the surgery center
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues
  • Coordinate inventory management activities at the surgery center
  • Assist with value analysis and product trials
  • Manage SharePoint processes for equipment and instruments in conjunction with the OR Manager
  • Oversee physical inventory processes at the sites
  • Manage par areas within the surgery center and maintain inventory system accuracy
  • Maintain accurate information within inventory and clinical systems
  • Physical requirements: lift objects >25 lbs and <60 lbs; push/pull >50 lbs on a cart
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain
