The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
This is a full-time position working M-F between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our Plymouth Orthopedic Surgery Center location.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, committed to giving patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
- Manage purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of supplies for the surgery center
- Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues
- Coordinate inventory activities at the surgery center
- Assist with value analysis and product trials
- Manage SharePoint process for equipment and instruments in conjunction with the OR Manager
- Oversee physical inventory process at the sites
- Manage par areas within the surgery center and maintain inventory system accuracy
- Maintain accurate information in inventory and clinical systems
- Lift objects over 25 pounds and less than 60 pounds; push/pull objects over 50 pounds on a cart
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain

Ability to:

- Lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Work efficiently, handle interruptions, meet deadlines
- Communicate professionally, prioritize workload, work independently, and follow instructions
