The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This is a full-time position working M-F between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm at our Plymouth Orthopedic Surgery Center location.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, committed to giving patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
  • Manage purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of supplies for the surgery center
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues
  • Coordinate inventory activities at the surgery center
  • Assist with value analysis and product trials
  • Manage SharePoint process for equipment and instruments in conjunction with the OR Manager
  • Oversee physical inventory process at the sites
  • Manage par areas within the surgery center and maintain inventory system accuracy
  • Maintain accurate information in inventory and clinical systems
  • Lift objects over 25 pounds and less than 60 pounds; push/pull objects over 50 pounds on a cart
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain

Ability to:

  • Travel as needed within the facility; perform bending, lifting, standing, stooping, or sitting for long periods
  • Lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Work efficiently, handle interruptions, meet deadlines
  • Communicate professionally, prioritize workload, work independently, and follow instructions
