Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy in Scottsdale, AZ (with optional Denver collaboration) seeks a Purchasing Specialist to support project procurement, manage purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers. You will ensure orders reflect scope and terms, track deliveries, resolve invoice issues, and maintain documentation for audits while working with Expeditors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing for engineering or construction projects is preferred.
• Electrical procurement experience for wire harnesses, IPCs, combiner boxes, and cable management is a plus.
• Travel to support project or supplier needs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day purchasing activities in support of project schedules, material requirements, and field needs.
• Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders, change orders, and associated documentation in the company purchasing system.
• Ensure purchase orders reflect scope, pricing, delivery requirements, commercial terms, and project constraints.
• Support project financial health through purchase order management.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery dates, and documentation requirements.
• Track supplier performance against schedule and delivery commitments.
• Identify material constraints, delivery risks, and supplier issues to project teams and procurement leadership.
• Assist with supplier qualification, evaluation, and re-evaluation activities as assigned.
• Support commercial negotiations within defined authority limits under manager direction.
• Maintain procurement documentation to support audits, claims, warranty issues, and project closeout.
• Input and maintain purchasing data in the ERP/purchasing system; monitor invoices and lien waivers; resolve AP/AR discrepancies.
• Support procurement reporting requirements, including spend tracking and supplier performance metrics.
