Genuine Search Group partners with an established manufacturing company in the Norton/Barberton area to recruit a Purchasing Assistant. You will support purchasing, vendor relations, and inventory needs while processing orders and maintaining records.

The role offers growth into additional purchasing responsibilities and requires 2+ years in purchasing or procurement, with ERP and Excel proficiency and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, buying, or procurement experience.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory management, and vendor relationships.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and organizational skills.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain inventory levels and assist with purchasing forecasts and replenishment.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries.
• Follow up on backorders and expedite materials as needed.
• Research vendors, obtain competitive quotes, and assist with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing records within the ERP system.
• Resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies with vendors and accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs.
