Career Systems Development Corporation in San Jose is seeking a Purchasing Agent to oversee the overall purchasing function for the Job Corps center. Qualifications

• Associates Degree and one year’s purchasing agent experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; experience with Government procurement regulations.
• Knowledge of government procurement rules/regulations; strong oral and written communication; ability to analyze supplier proposals; good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and procurement clauses in the prime contract.
• Prepare documentation for proposals, leases, and other procurement actions requiring Contracting Officer’s approval.
• Prepare specifications/bid forms, solicit bids and quotations, and award purchase orders or subcontracts.
• Gather data for negotiations and backup documentation including bid summaries and COI’s.
• Monitor subcontracts and leases and manage renewals and approvals with center leadership.
• Maintain records of purchase requisitions, solicitations and awards for audits.
