Studio41 Home Design Showroom in Chicago is seeking a purchasing professional to handle daily orders for plumbing, lighting, and tile products. You will manage supplier communications, monitor order progress, and verify deliveries while collaborating closely with the sales team.

The role requires 1–3 years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, and reliable time management to support our growing luxury showroom business.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen, bath, plumbing, lighting or tile products is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suites.
• Professional communication with associates and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process daily orders for plumbing, lighting, or tile products.
• Manage purchases by sending orders to suppliers and tracking progress.
• Verify receipt of orders and correct vendor issues.
• Coordinate delivery times with suppliers and resolve shipping errors.
• Communicate with sales staff about lead times, issues, and sourcing.

Studio41 is seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of our purchasing team. The company and its subsidiaries are rapidly expanding and growing with the continuing improvement of the home construction and remodeling industries.

Duties

• Daily order processing for plumbing, lighting, or tile products
• Manage purchases by sending orders to suppliers and monitoring progress
• Verfiy receipt of orders and correcting with vendor if any errors
• Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
• Communicate with salespeople lead times/order issues/sourcing
• Forecasting inventory needs based on sales trends/programs/demand
• Forge great relationships with our salespeople and rest of purchasing team

Requirements

• 1-3 years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Knowledege of the kitchen and bath design industry plumbing, lighting, flooring products – preferred
• Knowledge of Epicor Solar Eclipse a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suites.
• Ability to effectively communicate with associates and vendors in a professional manner.
• Must be reliable and dedicated
• Must be excellent at time management
• Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills
