Job summary

Composites One LLC in Dublin, OH seeks a Purchasing Specialist to support the Consolidated Purchasing Team. You will manage purchasing transactions, verify specs, pricing, and lead times, and collaborate with Sales, Vendors, and internal partners to ensure accurate system entry and timely deliveries.

You will analyze purchasing metrics, coordinate expedited orders, maintain vendor relationships, and help drive cost efficiency while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years purchasing/inventory management experience in sales/distribution.
• Understanding of supply chain, distribution, warehouse or logistics.
• Ability to analyze data and recommend actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and learning internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions and excellent service.
• Respond to inquiries on specs, pricing, and lead times from Sales and Customer Service.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain product details and resolve order-related issues.
• Verify specifications and purchase requests from internal teams.
• Process purchase orders, including those from stock-out vendors.
• Coordinate expedited orders, arrange freight, and track shipments.
• Maintain relationships and manage purchasing for a small group of vendors.
• Run and analyze purchasing metrics to support strategy.
• Monitor inventory trends and share insights with teams.
• Troubleshoot issues with pricing, POs, requisitions, and deliveries.
• Verify supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in pricing or freight charges.
• Maintain product documentation (SDS, tech sheets, certificates of analysis).
• Develop and deliver inventory and purchasing control reports.
