Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain purchase orders.
• Confirm pricing, quantities, specifications, lead times, and delivery dates with suppliers.
• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on delivery commitments.
• Obtain competitive quotes and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, lead time, and service.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Source alternative components and suppliers when availability, cost, quality, or lead-time concerns arise.
• Communicate supplier delays or changes that may affect production schedules or customer commitments.
• Work with Engineering, Production, Sales, Quality, and Accounting to resolve purchasing issues.
• Resolve invoice, purchase-order, receiving, and pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead-time, and purchasing information in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate recurring quality, delivery, pricing, or service concerns.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve lead times, and strengthen supply continuity.
• Maintain purchasing documentation, quotations, supplier correspondence, and related records.

This position is responsible for purchasing raw materials, components, supplies, and outside services while helping ensure Wardcraft receives competitive pricing, dependable quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and build productive relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

• Create, issue, review, and maintain purchase orders.

• Experience using an ERP or MRP system preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a professional office environment and may occasionally enter the manufacturing area. All applicable safety requirements and procedures must be followed.
