Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a Secaucus hybrid role on a 6+ month contract. The role focuses on procurement of small components, managing supplier relationships, and utilizing MRP and PO systems to keep delivery on schedule.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of direct purchasing experience, comfort with spreadsheets, and familiarity with electronic components. This position offers a hands-on role within a Fortune 500 client network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–7 years of direct purchasing experience.
• Working knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is highly desirable.
• Experience with electronic components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase small component parts, hard drives, and cables.
• Work with standard distribution suppliers and maintain familiarity with their products and services.
• Utilize MRP systems, with experience preferred.
• Use a purchase order (PO) system; no specific system experience is required.
• Place orders for products and services from approved sources in a timely manner.
• Process releases against existing blanket purchase orders.
• Monitor delivery schedules and provide follow-up on order status.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain purchasing reports and files.
• Assist Buyers and Section Managers with routine purchasing functions.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Pay range: $38 - $39 /hr on W2

Our Fortune 500 client (One of the world's largest Semi-Conductor companies)in Secaucus NJ is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their innovative team.
