The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for executing the day-to-day purchasing activities for both direct and indirect materials and services. This includes creating purchase orders (POs), monitoring delivery schedules, resolving supplier delays, and contributing to supplier performance evaluations. The Purchasing Specialist works cross-functionally with key departments-Parts, Service, Rental, Used Equipment, Fleet, and Sales to ensure material availability aligns with operational needs. This role requires a highly analytical, data-driven individual with strong communication skills who can help drive cost savings and limit purchase price variance (PPV). The Buyer also supports the supplier sourcing process as an advisor and partner in supplier development.
