Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Purchasing Sourcing Specialist to manage RFQs, issue purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery in a manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate with Engineering/OEM, track lead times, negotiate pricing, and maintain accurate supplier data while working cross-functionally with Fulfillment, Quality, and Logistics teams in Mason, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of RFQs, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and end-to-end order fulfillment.
• Proven supplier performance management experience, particularly with on-time delivery and quality.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and customer-service focus.
• Ability to identify delivery risks and implement corrective actions.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Experience with source-controlled purchasing and supplier-specific requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with Engineering/OEM stakeholders when alternate sourcing is necessary.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Epicor and Microsoft Excel.

• Coordinate with Engineering and OEM stakeholders when an approved alternate supplier is needed.
• Maintain accurate supplier production and order information for internal teams and customer updates.
• Work cross-functionally with Fulfillment, Quality, Logistics, and other departments to support forecasting and supply continuity.
• Negotiate and maintain competitive product pricing and catalog price lists.
• Manage supplier commercial claims, including late-delivery penalties and quality-related costs, and ensure cost recovery.
• Coordinate supplier non-conformances, non-technical change requests, timing adjustments, and support for new product introductions.
