Job Details: Gainesville, GA 30507 Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year.

Position Summary

The Purchasing Representative is responsible for managing supplier relationships, procuring materials, and ensuring product availability to support business operations. This role focuses on cost optimization, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain existing item numbers and oversee setup of new items within assigned product lines.
  • Create and manage purchase orders to meet demand, balancing price, lead time, and inventory levels.
  • Source new and existing products to ensure best pricing, quality, and availability.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate average cost and raw cost in inventory and purchasing systems.
  • Prepare and provide competitive quotes based on the best supplier options.
  • Negotiate pricing increases and decreases with vendors and collaborate with sales teams as market conditions change.
  • Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery as due dates approach.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues in collaboration with suppliers, Quality Assurance, and sales teams.
  • Determine appropriate vendors and shipping methods to support operational needs.
  • Support additional purchasing and operational tasks as assigned.
