Job summary

System One is hiring a Purchasing & Production Associate to support inventory control, procurement, and production scheduling on-site in Baltimore, MD. You will create purchase orders, manage freight, and coordinate with the Plant Manager and Customer Service to meet customer orders.

The role requires 2-3 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to adapt to a manufacturing environment. On-site work with a focus on accuracy and timely billing is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of 1 year billing experience.
• 2-3 years experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to learn new computer skills quickly.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, goal oriented, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Run reports daily to maintain inventory levels for raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Solicit pricing, produce purchase orders, arrange inbound freight, and track delivery times.
• Process receiving paperwork and sign off on billing statements.
• Produce transfer tickets and arrange freight between warehouse and factory.
• Review reports to plan production for finished goods and schedule batches.
• Create batch tickets and size batches for mixing vessels/hoppers.
• Transfer bulk finished goods to sale units and manage inventory.
• Develop production schedules with Plant Manager based on open orders.
• Close batch tickets accurately and perform monthly inventory reviews.
• Prepare and send billing statements daily and ensure CFR 49 labeling compliance.
• Manage consign stock customer inventory reports and associated billing.
• Maintain price lists for customers and vendors; enter sales orders and request freight rates.
• Support customer service tasks as needed.
