Job summary

System One is seeking a Purchasing & Production Associate in Baltimore, MD to manage material purchasing, production scheduling, and billing processes onsite. The role involves coordinating with vendors, handling freight, and ensuring accurate paperwork and batch records.

The candidate will generate purchase orders, track deliveries, and support production planning with the Plant Manager, aiming to maintain optimal inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience coordinating purchasing and production activities preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Run reports daily to identify materials and packaging needs to maintain inventory.
• Solicit pricing from vendors, create purchase orders, arrange freight, and track delivery estimates.
• Process receiving paperwork and sign off on billing statements.
• Produce transfer tickets and coordinate freight between warehouse and factory.
• Review reports to schedule production and create batch tickets.
• Generate and transfer bulk storage finished goods as needed.
• Develop production schedules with the Plant Manager based on open orders.
• Close batch tickets accurately and manage monthly inventory with Plant Manager.
• Prepare and send daily billing statements.
• Ensure CFR 49 labeling compliance for finished goods and related paperwork.
• Manage consign stock reports and related billing; maintain price lists.
• Enter sales orders and obtain freight quotes for outgoing shipments.
• Assist with customer service tasks as required.
