Job description

Job Description:

This position supports the Client Oxygen Systems Tactical Direct Procurement team by executing procurement processes, standards, operational plans, RFPs, negotiations, and cost analysis.

The role also involves responding to inquiries regarding vendor order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.

The work requires attention to detail, the ability to switch between tasks quickly, and strong communication and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will be in a full-time onsite role in Lenexa, KS.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement to order delivery, approve payments, and negotiate prices.
  • Manage supplier relationships to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve issues like shortages and delays, and implement improvement activities.
  • Prepare purchase orders and negotiate prices to facilitate smooth procurement processes under general guidance.
  • Execute procurement standards and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages and late deliveries.
  • Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use procurement tools to monitor trends, supplier risks, and demand drops.
  • Review critical shortages with planners and stakeholders; collaborate with suppliers to improve deliveries and close supply gaps.
  • Analyze root causes to lead resolution and implement permanent fixes to prevent overdue deliveries.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and are cost-effective; may perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
  • Monitor contract performance for compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Work is generally guided by instructions on routine tasks and detailed guidance on new projects, with work reviewed for judgment, adequacy, and accuracy.
  • Perform other projects as assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
  • Ability to conduct deep dives and identify root causes of issues, utilizing the 5-Ys method, with strong cross-functional coordination, especially in SAP.
  • High-level experience with SAP is required.
  • Familiarity with BI Reports and Tableau is a plus.
Experience:
  • 6-10 years in supply chain, with at least 2 years of high-level SAP experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years (preferably more) of relevant prior experience.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
