Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a procurement leader to oversee supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and inventory control at the plant level. You will implement purchasing strategies, manage POs, and collaborate with management to achieve cost savings.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years in purchasing within a production environment, with ERP/MRP experience and strong communication skills. The role includes supervising staff and driving standard operating procedures, with equal opportunity

Qualifications

Associate degree required in a related field.
3–5 years purchasing experience in a similar production environment.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
APICS certification preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

Manage supplier purchase order maintenance and support initiatives.
Analyze plant purchasing by product type and develop cost-reduction strategies.
Negotiate supplier contracts to achieve optimal product costs.
Supervise and train support staff and maintain 5S program.
Manage plant parts room and inventory; oversee bids, quotes, pricing, and contracts.
