Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement for the New Orleans Convention Center in New Orleans, LA. You will drive complex programs and strategy while coordinating with multiple departments.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead teams to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery, contributing to growth initiatives and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years related purchasing or procurement experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships.

About the job

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving the successful execution of complex programs and procurement strategies. You will collaborate across multiple departments to ensure alignment, optimize processes, and support growth initiatives that enhance overall business performance.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range:

$64600 - $83600

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Sales, Supply Management, and Finance to ensure seamless implementation and execution of client programs and procurement strategies.
