Job summary

Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager in Philadelphia, PA to oversee procurement activities, inventory control, and vendor relations. You will also supervise staff, establish departmental procedures, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and cost reporting while upholding GPHA’s mission and standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years in purchasing/procurement with strong ethics and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum three years in purchasing/procurement/inventory control.
• Ability to work harmoniously with personnel and vendors.

Responsibilities

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is presently seeking a full‑time Purchasing Manager.

Requirements

• Valid drivers license.


• Bachelor's Degree.


• Minimum of three (3) years experience in purchasing/procurement inventory control, systems and procedures.


• Ability to work harmoniously with personnel. Must possess good professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with vendors.

Qualified candidates must be proficient in

• Purchasing, inventory control, vendor selection, and emergency procurement support.


• Staff supervision, scheduling, cross‑training, performance oversight, establishing department procedures, and managing departmental goals and projects.


• Accurate recordkeeping, financial stewardship of resources, reporting key cost or pricing changes, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting GPHA’s mission and operational standards.
