Job summary

NEMS is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee daily purchasing activities in Daly City, build and maintain vendor relationships, analyze price trends, and forecast demand to minimize costs. You will review purchase orders, approve purchases, and track orders to ensure timely fulfillment.

A four-year degree is required, with 1+ years of supervisory experience or 4+ years in purchasing. Proficiency with computers, strong communication and budgeting skills, problem solving, attention to detail,

Qualifications

• Completion of a four year degree from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of supervisor experience or 4+ years of purchasing experience.
• Proficient in computers and ability to learn new applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational and budgeting skills.
• Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timelines.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase orders for accuracy and to ensure best prices are obtained.
• Approve purchases and track progress to ensure orders are filled correctly.
• Evaluate, select, and establish relationships with vendors.
• Negotiate contracts for goods and services.
• Oversee the ordering of materials, supplies and equipment from vendors by buyers.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for daily activities of the purchasing function at NEMS.
