Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to support procurement operations and oversee domestic and international shipments.

This role requires 2+ years in purchasing or logistics, knowledge of import/export rules and Incoterms, and proficiency with SAP or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience managing domestic and international shipments.
• Knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, customs requirements, and international shipping compliance.
• Experience with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP or ERP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process, manage, and expedite purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery and order accuracy.
• Monitor open and overdue purchase orders, following up with suppliers to meet delivery commitments.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from supplier collection through final delivery.
• Manage import/export activities, including customs clearance, duties, tariffs, and shipping documentation.
• Track shipments and resolve transportation delays, customs issues, and other challenges.
• Coordinate inter-company transfers and associated purchasing, transportation, and documentation.
• Support inventory management, monitor stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and handle returns/damages.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, freight efficiency, and supply chain performance.
• Participate in supply chain, purchasing, and logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri | 7am-4pm

Summary

A well-established provider of specialized products and services to highly regulated industries is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to support procurement operations and oversee domestic and international logistics activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, coordinating shipments, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely movement of goods through the supply chain. Key Responsibilities
