Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist in Chandler, AZ to support procurement operations and oversee domestic and international logistics. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in purchasing/logistics, understands import/export regulations, and can improve freight efficiency while working with ERP systems such as SAP. Mon-Fri 7am-4pm, DOE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or related role.
• Experience handling domestic and international shipments.
• Knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and compliance.
• Experience with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.

Responsibilities

• Process, manage, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy.
• Monitor open/overdue orders and follow up with suppliers to meet commitments.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from supplier collection to final delivery.
• Manage import/export activities, including customs clearance and duties.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, customs issues, and other logistics problems.
• Coordinate inter-company transfers and related purchasing/transport documentation.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and processing returns or damaged goods.

A well-established provider of specialized products and services to highly regulated industries is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to support procurement operations and oversee domestic and international logistics activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, coordinating shipments, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely movement of goods through the supply chain. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about driving operational efficiency across purchasing and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, manage, and expedite purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery and order accuracy.


• Monitor open and overdue purchase orders, proactively following up with suppliers to meet delivery commitments.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.


• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from supplier collection through final delivery.


• Manage import/export activities, including customs clearance, duties, tariffs, and shipping documentation requirements.


• Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays, customs issues, and other logistics challenges.


• Coordinate inter-company transfers and associated purchasing, transportation, and documentation activities.


• Support inventory management efforts, including monitoring stock levels, reducing excess inventory, and processing returns or damaged goods.


• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, freight efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.


• Participate in supply chain, purchasing, and logistics-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or a related role.


• Hands-on experience managing domestic and international shipments.


• Working knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations, customs requirements, and international shipping compliance.


• Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.


• Strong understanding of international shipping processes and Incoterms.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.


• Strong relationship-building and negotiation abilities.


• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented mindset.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
