Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Guymon, OK seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing and receiving functions for our large pork processing operation. You will oversee materials, ingredients, and supplier performance to ensure cost-effective procurement and reliable inventory for production.

You will manage a team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with corporate contracts and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of purchasing, inventory, accounting, or supply chain experience in manufacturing/processing environments.
• Leadership experience or ability to direct and develop teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing and receiving team to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish procure-to-pay procedures and appropriate inventory levels.
• Oversee requisitions and purchase orders to support daily operations.
• Monitor production schedules and material needs to prevent shortages.
• Provide and analyze purchasing and inventory reports for leadership.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal customers and vendors and support vendor performance.
• Coordinate with Food Safety, QA, Accounting, and corporate teams on quality, payment, and process improvements.
