Purchasing Expeditor – Purchasing and Pricing

What you will be doing as a key player on our dynamic team:

• Expediting purchase orders from various suppliers.
• Following up on purchase orders in process by confirming and communicating expected delivery dates.
• Tracking all information from vendors onestimated shipping dates (ESD) and refreshing information in ERP (Eclipse).
• Providing information and follow-up to customer service issues relating to delivery and availability to the sales team.
• Notifying the order writer and line manager of any SKUs with extended lead times.
• Prioritizing customer requests and expediting over standard ESD updates.
• Gathering information from vendors regarding trends and issues related to delivery and providing feedback to the manager.
• Working with Purchasing Specialist to understand and execute procurement orders.
• Cross training and learning the skills required to buy additional product lines.
• Performing administrative tasks and other duties to support purchasing associates as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of inventory expediting or purchasing experience OR working in an environment completing administrative tasks with deadlines and accuracy.

Core Competencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
