CBH Homes in Meridian, Idaho, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Director to lead teams, negotiate partnerships, and align purchasing with construction schedules. You will manage sourcing, bidding, contracts, and budgets, build strong vendor relationships, and drive cost control and continuous improvement across CBH's residential homebuilding operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead CBH's Purchasing team across Construction Services, Scheduling, Trade Partners, Vendors, and Suppliers.
• Oversee sourcing agreements, bidding, contracts, budgets, pricing, and purchasing strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Develop strategies for cost control, labor continuity, schedules, and cycle-time commitments.
• Monitor vendor performance and hold partners accountable to expectations.
• Collaborate with construction and scheduling teams to keep homes on track and resources available.
• Lead resolution of field issues involving vendors, pricing, materials, and scheduling.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs.
• Develop and manage strategies supporting CBH's growth and goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Purchasing team.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead CBH's Purchasing team and provide leadership across Construction Services, Scheduling, Trade Partners, Vendors, and Suppliers

• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, strengthen partnerships, optimize the supply chain, and reduce costs
• Develop and manage strategies that support CBH's continued growth and construction goals

This position is Full-time, Monday through Friday.

• Proven leadership experience in purchasing, procurement, construction operations, or a related field
• Extensive experience working with trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and the homebuilding process
• Experience managing bids, contracts, budgets, pricing, and cost strategies
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive accountability and performance
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with Trade Partners
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines, goals, and objectives
