Job summary

Acme Tools in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Purchasing Data Associate to support inventory analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across multiple store formats, including brick-and-mortar, distribution center, and eCommerce.

You will run reports, monitor inventory levels, track promotions, and maintain item data in the ERP system while collaborating with Purchasing leadership to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and report-generation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels and generate reports on inventory, sales, promotions, and vendor activities.
• Maintain inventory accuracy across stores, distribution center, and eCommerce channels.
• Track promotions (BOGOs, free goods with purchase) and adjust inventory data accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date purchase-order status and report on transfers and vendor returns.
• Assist in setting up new items and updating item data in the inventory system.
• Communicate with Purchasing Manager and Buyers to support department profitability.
