Job summary

Sea Fox Boat Works is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Warehouse Department in Moncks Corner, SC. You will place and track purchase orders, manage vendor relationships, and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production needs.

The role requires cross-department collaboration and strong communication skills, with experience in purchasing and familiarity with Fishbowl or QuickBooks considered a plus. Health and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with Fishbowl and QuickBooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage an accurate vendor database.
• Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders using internal systems.
• Ensure inventory levels are adequate to support manufacturing and operational needs.
• Actively manage open purchase orders and communicate with vendors for on-time delivery.
• Expedite materials and provide accurate ETA updates.
• Adjust purchasing volumes based on inventory trends and product changes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and shipments.
• Coordinate with vendors to arrange repairs, replacements, or credits for non-conforming items.
• Organize and maintain purchasing records and reports.
• Prepare internal communications, reports, and forms as needed.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with supervisors on procurement matters.
