Job summary

Shuert Technology – Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to own the procurement of plastics resins, direct components, packaging, and MRO supplies. You will manage POs, pricing, and supplier performance while aligning inventory with production demand.

You’ll troubleshoot supply issues, build strong vendor relationships, and maintain data integrity in Plex ERP, supporting accounts payable accuracy. The role requires initiative and independent work in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Plastics or thermoforming experience strongly preferred.
• Capable of working independently and owning outcomes.
• ERP experience with Plex is a strong asset.
• Strong negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure plastics resins, direct components, packaging, and MRO supplies.
• Manage purchase orders, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Maintain inventory levels aligned with production demand.
• Troubleshoot supply issues (delays, shortages, quality concerns).
• Build and manage vendor relationships.
• Own purchasing data and transactions in Plex by Rockwell Automation (ERP).
• Support accounts payable invoice accuracy.
