Job summary

We Search People is working with a Houston-based premier luxury home builder to recruit a hands-on Purchasing Coordinator. You will support all active builds from pre-construction through closeout, sourcing and managing trade partners and material vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and cost accuracy.

You will keep projects on schedule and communicate effectively with internal teams, trades, and suppliers across multiple concurrent builds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing experience specifically within residential construction.
• Strong relationships with subcontractors and material vendors.
• Experience using BRIX preferred.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects and vendors simultaneously.
• Strong communicator with internal team members, trades and suppliers.

Responsibilities

The Firm:

We are working with a Houston based premier luxury home building and high-end remodeling company. They specialize in designing and transforming beautiful homes in desirable areas of the city. They focus on pairing customer desires with functionality and fine detail to create perfect living spaces.

The Role:

This is a hands-on, office-based purchasing role supporting all active builds from pre-construction through closeout. You will be responsible for sourcing and managing trade partners and material vendors, ensuring competitive pricing, maintaining cost accuracy and keeping projects on schedule.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of purchasing experience specifically within residential construction, custom or mid-size homebuilder preferred
• Strong existing relationships with subcontractors and material vendors
• Experience using BRIX preferred
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects and vendors simultaneously
• Strong communicator with internal team members, trades and suppliers
