Job summary

JAC Recruitment in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Purchasing Associate to support daily purchasing and inventory operations for a food company. You will handle purchase orders, supplier communications, inventory monitoring, data entry, and general procurement support.

The role collaborates with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure product availability and smooth supply chain flows. Strong Excel skills and 1+ year in purchasing are expected; bilingual English/Japanese or

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, logistics, customer service, or administrative support preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with internal teams to support purchasing and inventory operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery and inventory availability.
• Maintain procurement records, data, and reports to support decisions.
• Assist with import and customs processes and communicate with brokers and overseas vendors.
• Track orders and resolve shipment issues; participate in process improvements and inventory counts.
