Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of inventory systems or ERP software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and clerical tasks.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory experience.

We’re a growing company looking for a Materials & Procurement Coordinator who enjoys organization, logistics, vendor relationships, and supporting a team.This role combines purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse coordination to ensure our technicians have the parts and materials they need to serve our customers efficiently.This position is critical to keeping our technicians efficient and our customers taken care of.What You’ll DoProcurement & Vendor CoordinationPlace stock orders for HVAC and plumbing inventoryOrder special-order parts for techniciansMaintain the full purchase order lifecycle from order placement through deliveryBuild and maintain strong vendor relationshipsWork with suppliers to expedite parts and maintain competitive pricingReceive shipments and stock materials or stage parts for upcoming jobsPerform cycle counts and inventory auditsMonitor inventory levels and product usageAnalyze item velocity to help maintain optimal stock levelsWarehouse OperationsUnload deliveries and organize incoming shipmentsOperate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacksMaintain a clean, organized warehouseStage materials and equipment for technicians and upcoming jobsA Typical Day Might IncludeReceiving a shipment of HVAC parts and stocking inventoryOrdering materials for upcoming plumbing installationsWorking with a vendor to locate a hard-to-find part for a technicianRunning cycle counts on frequently used inventory itemsStaging equipment for the next day’s installsUnloading a delivery truck and organizing incoming materialsWho Succeeds in This RolePeople who thrive in this position typically:Enjoy keeping things organized and efficientLike solving logistics or supply problemsAre comfortable working both in the warehouse and at a computerTake pride in accurate inventory and smooth operationsLike supporting a team of technicians in the fieldPreferred ExperienceHVAC, plumbing, electrical supply, or parts counter experience strongly preferred1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, warehouse, or inside salesStrong understanding of inventory systems or ERP softwareProficiency with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational and communication skillsForklift experience is a plus (training available)Why Work at Hurlburt?We believe great people deserve great support.
