Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, seeks an Assistant Purchaser to support the Purchasing Manager with sourcing, purchase orders, cost verification, and vendor coordination to secure materials at competitive prices and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and eager to grow within purchasing while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to maintain material availability and project efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of purchasing experience, preferably in Plumbing/HVAC.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
• Attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Accurately verify incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders and Packing Slips.
• Track and update inventory with accurate records in Inventory Programs.
• Create purchase orders and monitor their status.
• Verify costs of purchase orders against project estimates.
• Generate inventory and discrepancy reports for the Purchasing Manager.
• Negotiate cost, delivery schedule and terms with vendors.
