Job summary

Dana Safety Supply, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing Manager with procurement of products and materials. The role emphasizes working with vendors to ensure timely delivery and price accuracy.

This position plays a key part in maintaining inventory across multiple locations. Located in Greensboro, NC, the role involves monitoring purchase orders, assisting with pricing decisions, and maximizing purchasing opportunities while supporting R&D and QA with document

• Work with Vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate product is being delivered.
• Assist Research & Development and Quality Assurance with document control.
• Monitor all purchase orders, both outgoing and incoming.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with price control of product.
• Maximize Purchasing Opportunities by utilizing all Vendor Special Pricing.
• Maximize inventory in stock for open orders by deciding order via Purchase order or stock on hand across warehouses.
• Maintain Good Communication with Vendors.
• Ensure all pricing on Purchase order is accurate prior to submission.

Job description

Dana Safety Supply is seeking a Purchasing Assistant. In this role a successful candidate will work directly with the Purchasing Manager to coordinate the purchase of products and materials on behalf of the organization. This individual also works with the current vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the products.

Essential Duties

• Work with Vendors to ensure timely delivery and accurate product is being delivered.
• Assist Research & Development and Quality Assurance with document control.
• Monitor all purchase orders, both outgoing and incoming.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with price control of product.
• Maximize Purchasing Opportunities by utilizing all Vendor Special Pricing.
• Maximize all inventory in stock for open orders making accurate decision on ordering product through a Purchase order or using stock on hand in all warehouses.
• Maintain Good Communication with Vendors.
• Ensure all pricing on Purchase order is accurate prior to submission.

Other duties may be assigned.
