Our client is a well-established Italian food manufacturing company with a rapidly growing footprint in the United States.
The Procurement Inbound / Outbound Specialist supports the daily execution of procurement and supply chain activities to ensure the timely flow of raw materials and ingredients into the manufacturing network.
This position works closely with suppliers, logistics providers, production planning, quality, and warehouse teams to coordinate purchase orders, deliveries, inventory availability, and supplier documentation.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented early-career professional who is eager to learn and grow within Procurement and Supply Chain.
The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and preferably with ERP systems knowledge and with experience in customer service/procurement/supply chain/logistics/inventory control/office management.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Order Management
- Create and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Obtain and track supplier order confirmations.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on past due deliveries.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
- Track incoming shipments and communicate delivery updates.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and receiving teams.
- Assist in resolving shipment delays, shortages, and delivery discrepancies.
- Support inventory transfers and material flow activities as needed.
- Ensure timely communication of supply issues that may impact production.
Inventory & Supply Chain Support
- Assist with inventory monitoring and material availability reviews.
- Help identify potential supply shortages and communicate risks.
- Support cross-functional teams in maintaining uninterrupted production.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and supply chain operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Operations, Quality, and Warehouse teams.
- Provide regular follow-up on open issues and action items.
- Support the procurement team with administrative and operational tasks.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in office management, purchasing, customer service, logistics, inventory control, supply chain, or a related operational role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Previous experience in procurement, manufacturing, food industry, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

- Base Salary + bonus
- Bonus: $1,500–$3,000 based on goals and performance
