Job description

Telular is currently seeking our next Purchasing Assistant. As Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for purchasing and inventory activities as well as supporting forecasting. Job Duties:

  • Maintains files and records
  • Contributes to the coordination of operations regarding various matters, including assisting with the day-to-day tasks for procurement, warehousing and inventory
  • Provides analyst support for variances, inventory and operations
  • Serves as a back-up person on inventory transactions and tickets
  • Assist with parts shortages given by contract manufacturers
  • Assist buyer/planners across product lines with purchase orders as needed
  • Assist in year-end preparation and activities
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with and support internal and external customers by providing status/updates as needed.
  • Work with vendors to ensure pricing, quantities, delivery/promise dates are accurate.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 0-2 years recent purchasing experience combined with knowledge of general accounting knowledge
  • Experience purchasing electronics & electronic assemblies is a plus
  • Must be extremely responsive & action-oriented
  • Take charge attitude required
  • Good organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Great Plains ERP software experience is a plus
