Responsibilities

Job description

The ideal candidate will have a foundation in purchasing or supply chain along with strong Microsoft-based technical skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly preferred. This position provides an opportunity to develop strategic purchasing skills while supporting domestic and international suppliers, inventory planning, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, issue and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
• Manage assigned vendors and ensure purchase orders are acknowledged with accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with vendors regarding late or upcoming shipments.
• Assist with purchasing for both domestic and international suppliers.
• Review inventory levels, historical usage, forecasts, lead times and open orders to determine purchasing requirements.
• Assist with planning international orders based on extended lead times, production schedules, and inventory needs.
• Communicate potential shortages, delays, and supply concerns to Purchasing leadership and appropriate internal teams.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
• Request and evaluate vendor quotations and assist with price and lead-time negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved lead times, and inventory optimization.
• Work closely with Sales, Sourcing, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and other departments to support inventory requirements.
• Follow established purchasing procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 1-3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (especially Excel), CRM and SRM systems
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Supply Chain Management experience highly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
