Job summary

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trade base to ensure bidding is competitive.
• Distributes bid packages and is the point of contact for RFIs for assigned scopes.
• Learn SOWs for each major contractor assigned.
• Develop relationships with assigned trade partner scopes for a robust depth of qualified trades.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals and maintain bid analysis.
• Review plans for discrepancies and identify solutions prior to construction.
• Assist with generation of projected direct costs.
• Recommend price changes to management to improve margins.
• Ensure product specification change requests are processed.
• Serve as the primary point of negotiation with trade partners to drive pricing and favorable terms.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

The Purchasing Agent owns assigned purchasing scopes, driving profitability through competitive bidding, negotiation, strategic sourcing, strong trade partnerships, and continuous process improvement.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
