Job summary

The position requires a minimum of three years purchasing experience, familiarity with JDE Enterprise One, and excellent Excel and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of purchasing experience, preferably in homebuilding.
• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel.
• Highly accurate, detail oriented; strong organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and follow through on projects to completion.
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive and cooperative work relationships.
• Exemplary record of attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trade base to ensure bidding is competitive.
• Distributes bid packages and is the point of contact for RFIs for assigned scopes.
• Learn SOWs for each major contractor assigned.
• Develop relationships with assigned trade partner scopes for a robust depth of qualified trades.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals and maintain bid analysis.
• Review plans for discrepancies and identify solutions prior to construction.
• Assist with generation of projected direct costs.
• Recommend price changes to management to improve margins.
• Ensure product specification change requests are processed.
• Serve as the primary point of negotiation with trade partners to drive pricing and favorable terms.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
