Job summary

Astrion at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement activities and ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.

You will partner with requestors, evaluate vendor quotes, process POs, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with NASA FAR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of related experience in purchasing.
• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with requestors to understand procurement needs.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Create and process purchase orders (POs) or purchases via credit card.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain supplier relationships.
• Reconcile procurement documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.

JOB STATUS: Full-Time | Onsite

CITIZENSHIP: U.S. Citizen Required

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center. This role is essential for supporting procurement activities and ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services that support mission success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

• 2+ years of related experience (Purchasing Agent)

• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy

• U.S. Citizenship required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer interface skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
