Job summary

Astrion is seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent for Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This full-time onsite role supports procurement activities to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services essential for mission success. A U.S.

citizenship and a relevant bachelor’s degree are required. Responsibilities include obtaining vendor quotes, creating POs, monitoring supplier performance, and reconciling procurement documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience.
• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with requestors to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Create and process purchase orders (POs) or purchase via credit card.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Reconcile procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.
