Job summary

Astrion is seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent for the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related purchasing experience.

You will work with CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements to ensure timely procurement of goods and services for mission support. Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, creating POs, monitoring vendor performance, and reconciling documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of related purchasing experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with requestors to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Create and process purchase orders or credit card purchases.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Reconcile procurement documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center. This role is essential for supporting procurement activities and ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services that support mission success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 2+ years of related experience (Purchasing Agent)
• Working knowledge of CostPoint and NASA FAR requirements
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy
• U.S. Citizenship required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer interface skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
