Regency Electric, Inc., A Norlee Company, is looking for a highly motivated Purchasing Agent in the area to join our team. This is a fast‑paced environment and requires accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities include procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and supplies; negotiating/coordinating shipping schedules with vendors; working with Project Managers for pricing of materials, equipment, and supplies; and managing incoming material/inventory.

Key Measurables
  • Ensure quality: By making sure that purchasing contracts are clearly defined, and POs are accurate.
  • Minimize the unplanned orders to keep within budget, reduce supply risks, and ensure continuity.

An individual in this role is a professional and personable leader, committed to the success of projects and the organization, demonstrated by performing the following duties, where other applicable duties or responsibilities may be assigned from time to time:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with project teams purchasing material for all projects and any job cost related items.
  • Receive and ensure that all purchase requests have been approved in accordance with authorized approval levels.
  • Sending out RFQs to approved vendors through Kojo software.
  • Comparing quotes received for accuracy, cost and delivery dates.
  • Coordinates and processes all Return‑To‑Vendor and credit requests.
  • Issue and track Hold for Release Purchase Orders.
  • Reconciling Outstanding Purchase Order Committed Cost.
  • Ensure field teams accurately confirm receipt of deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Assists project teams with disbursement of surplus goods.
  • Work with all departments to find cost savings in products and services.
  • Ensure that all purchase terms and discounts are adhered too.

To successfully perform and execute the requirements of this role, the individual must hold or exhibit the following qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
  • Have 5+ years of purchasing experience.
  • Familiarity with Kojo software.
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail while multi‑tasking.
  • Strong computer skills and use of all Microsoft applications.
  • Adaptable / Flexible – being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances.
  • Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
Health & Safety Responsibilities

An individual in this role is responsible for ensuring that work is performed within the established policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization and applicable legislation.

Language Skills

An individual in this role must be able to create written reports, estimates, and instructions/procedures, as well as research and deliver verbal information with clients, representatives, and staff. Frequent face‑to‑face interaction with clients, general contractor representatives, and other Norlee staff is required.

Mathematical Skills

Proven skills to deal with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to compute percentages, costs, gross margins and gross profits on material, labor, and project estimates. A strong detail orientation and demonstrated drive to meet established deadlines, with high quality work and supporting backup.

Technical / Software Skills

Proficiency with MS Office suite and Preferred Kojo purchasing software.

Physical Demands

The individual is frequently required to walk, stand, reach, and crouch. Frequent use of hands with dexterity is required to operate tools. Review of complex specification drawings is required to count and verify fixture quantities.

Work Environment

The environment is typically an office but can be construction sites at varying degrees of completion where exposure varies with the degrees of hazards potentially present. Protective headwear, footwear, ear protection, and eye protection are usually necessary depending on circumstances. The walking surfaces can vary from uneven dirt with excavated areas to loose gravel to hard concrete floors.
