Job summary

Contra Costa Electric, an EMCOR company, is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Agent to manage procurement of electrical materials, tools, and equipment for commercial and industrial projects. Qualifications

  • Source and purchase electrical materials based on project specifications and submittals.
  • Evaluate suppliers for cost, availability, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely material deliveries.
  • Track orders from date of issue to delivery.
  • Resolve discrepancies in shipments and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and OSHPD requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams and estimating to provide submittal documentation.
  • Partner with teams to request quotes from vendors and review for accuracy.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
