As a Purchasing Agent, you will prepare and complete Request for Quotes (RFQ) against Invitations to Qualify (ITQ), Invitation for Bids (IFB), and Non-Merchandise Purchase Orders (PO) for supplies, equipment, and services through the PLCB's Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems. This includes research and preparation of detailed specifications, selection of bidders, scheduling and holding of bid openings, evaluating bids, and making awards.
You will evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine any need for changes, recommend contract modifications, develop original specifications, and modify existing specifications to minimize discrepancies and establish clear lines of responsibility. Your knowledge of purchasing methods, analytical ability, and independent judgment are essential for timeliness, effectiveness, and client satisfaction.
