BlueWorx Staffing is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations for a growing, employee-owned manufacturing company in Broken Arrow, OK. This opportunity is ideal for an up-and-coming purchasing professional with 2–3 years of hands-on experience and on-the-job training.

A college degree is not required. Responsibilities include sourcing, quoting, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining ERP records.

Formación

• Minimum of 2–3 years purchasing experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, BOMs, and technical specs.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor, SAP, NetSuite or similar.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with sourcing, quoting, and purchasing raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supplier discrepancies.
• Maintain purchasing records in ERP, including PO status and vendor performance.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and accounting to ensure material availability.
• Assist with vendor qualification, negotiations, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and replenishment.
• Expedite critical orders and coordinate freight shipments as needed.

BlueWorx Staffing is seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations for a growing, employee-owned manufacturing company in Broken Arrow, OK. This opportunity is ideal for an up-and-coming purchasing professional with 2–3 years of hands-on experience who is eager to develop their skills and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A college degree is not required, and comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities of Purchasing Agent

• Assist with sourcing, quoting, and purchasing raw materials, components, and MRO supplies based on production schedules and inventory needs.

• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supplier discrepancies involving pricing, quality, and lead times.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records within the company's ERP system, including purchase order status, vendor performance, and cost information.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.

• Assist with vendor qualification, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and stock replenishment planning.

• Expedite critical orders and coordinate freight shipments as needed.

Qualifications of Purchasing Agent

• Minimum of 2–3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications is a strong plus.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work on-site at the Broken Arrow facility.

Preferred Experience – Purchasing Agent

• Previous purchasing experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or pressure vessel manufacturing.

• APICS/CPM certification or related coursework.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ASME standards.

• Experience with supplier negotiations, inventory management, and manufacturing procurement.
