Job summary

Van Metre Homes in Virginia is seeking a Punchout Associate to support our Field Systems team. You will execute detailed punchout and finish work to ensure homes meet our quality standards and are ready for delivery, inspection, and customer experience.

You will perform interior punchout tasks, finish carpentry, final preparation, and maintain site cleanliness and safety. Travel between active job sites is required; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential construction or finish work experience preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and finish materials.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel between assigned job sites daily.

Van Metre is seeking a skilled Punchout Associate to support our Field Systems department with Van Metre Homes.

As the Punchout Associate, you will execute detailed punchout and finish work to ensure homes meet Van Metre’s quality standards and are fully prepared for delivery, inspection, and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Complete interior punchout tasks including drywall repair, caulking, paint touch-ups, and hardware adjustments
• Perform finish carpentry tasks such as baseboard, trim, and cabinetry repairs or replacements
• Complete final preparation work including screen installation, filter replacements, and visual polish of finishes
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and site presentation at all times

Work Environment Physical Requirements

• Full-time, Mon–Fri; field-based with required travel between active job sites
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor residential construction environments
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and lift materials up to 50 pounds and wear required PPE onsite
• Frequent use of hand tools, ladders, and finish repair equipment in varied site conditions

• Salary: $25-$30 per hour (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
