Job summary

Dayton Rogers in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Punch Press Setup Operator to set up, adjust, and operate punch press equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. The role requires reading blueprints, installing dies, and ensuring precision measurements.

You will troubleshoot issues, inspect parts, complete documentation, and communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
1+ year of experience in metal stamping, machining, or press operation.
Experience with progressive die stamping or similar metal-forming operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and adjust punch presses for production runs.
Install and align punches, dies, tooling, and fixtures.
Operate manual and automatic punch press equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, job cards, and work instructions.
Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Troubleshoot setup and operational issues.
Inspect parts and identify quality concerns.
Complete required production and inspection documentation.
Communicate production and quality issues to supervisors and engineering.
