Job summary

Exploreelginarea is seeking a Punch Press Set-Up/Operator in Carpentersville, IL to set up and operate punch presses, install dies, adjust ram height and stroke, and produce parts to specification.

You will read blueprints, review shop orders, perform inspections, maintain tooling, and follow all safety procedures while keeping the work area clean and communicating issues to leadership.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of punch press set-up/operator or similar experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings is preferred.
• Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniques is a plus.
• Understanding of quality standards and safety regulations with strong attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training is an advantage.

Job Title: Punch Press Set-Up/Operator
City and State: Carpentersville, IL
Pay Rate:$20-25/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (1st Shift)
Employment Type: Full-Time
