Job summary

Munters Corporation in the United States (Selma, TX) is seeking a Punch Press Operator for the 1st shift. You will operate a press brake, verify parts against specifications, and maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.

The role requires reading blueprints and process documents, setting up tooling and dies, and changing over equipment to meet part dimensions. You will contribute to production flow, document checks, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work from job packets, BOM, process sheet, packing list, assembly instructions, material usage list, blueprints, quality checklist, or drawings.
• Develop layout and plan sequence of operations; calculate angles and bend thicknesses to determine appropriate dies, fixtures, stops and settings.
• Set up fabrication equipment (press brakes) and verify conformance of first piece to specifications using protractor, gauges, and measuring tape.
• Gauge work pieces randomly through run to ensure maintenance of settings and make adjustments as necessary.
• Change over equipment or tooling to accommodate requirements; set stops, angles, and dies for defined part dimensions, and configuration; manually feed material through fabrication operations.
• Perform quality checks, complete check lists, verify counts, record time per job and ensure compliance with production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; take responsibility for physical inventory of materials; request material reorders as necessary.
• Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and stay updated on new developments, requirements, and policies.
