Job description

Quanex is looking for a Punch Press Machinist to join our team on 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 5:00AM -3:30PM, located in Owatonna, MN.
In this role you are responsible for setting up and operating all power-driven punch presses while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity

What Success Looks Like:

• Able to exercise judgement in determining the quality of parts, analyzing quality problems.
• Operate punch press in punching, countersinking, bending and cutting in the production of steel parts.
• Make necessary adjustments to press, feeder, and straightener as necessary to facilitate production of quality parts.
• Monitor the safe working conditions of equipment and the work area within the cell and taking corrective actions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with different teams to ensure seamless operations.

What You Bring:

• Experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
• Experience using common hand tools, various types of measuring instruments, and operating a power hoist.
• The hourly wage for this position is $21.00
