AmesburyTruth is an industry leader in window and door component manufacturing in Owatonna, MN. We pride ourselves on being collaborative and inclusive. We are currently seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to join our team on 2nd shift, with working hours Monday through Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, or 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am.

Starting rate begins at $32.00 per hour, with additional $2.50 per hour for 2nd & 3rd shifts, based on experience.

Position Purpose: This role involves building, rebuilding, maintaining, repairing, and modifying die cast molds, trim dies, tooling, and machinery to enhance production speed and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Review specifications, interpret drawings and CAD graphics, and determine construction requirements.
  2. Discuss deviations or errors with engineering and make necessary adjustments.
  3. Plan, layout, and perform bench and machine operations to construct or alter molds and dies.
  4. Ensure high-quality work with precision workmanship.
  5. Monitor mold and die performance and suggest modifications for smooth operation.
  6. Recommend changes to reduce costs or improve quality.
  7. Ensure molds and dies meet specifications through proper measurement.
  8. Assist colleagues with questions related to molds, tooling, and project feasibility.
  9. Maintain tools and machinery in proper working order.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
